Processo eleitoral aguarda definição

O mandato da actual direcção do Rio Ave termina no próximo dia 26, data em que completa 2 anos sobre a tomada de posse, em 2004, quando sucedeu ao elenco encabeçado por Carlos Costa. No entanto, ainda não existe definição sobre de que maneira será gerido o próximo processo eleitoral. Objectivamente, as eleições deveriam realizar-se nas próximas semanas. Todavia, existe uma interpretação dos estatutos do clube que viabiliza o diferimento da ida às urnas para Outubro ou Novembro, parecendo ser esta a hipótese mais viável.

A decisão final vai caber ao presidente da mesa da Assembleia Geral, Mário de Almeida, que é também o histórico edil de Vila do Conde. O actual responsável pelos destinos do clube, Paulo Carvalho, não se mostra preocupado e espera que seja criado um precedente que permita tornar os estatutos mais claros.
